Variable Interval Timer
About this app
Create custom interval cycles, map audio alerts to labels, save named presets, and run entirely offline.
Help & Instructions
This application lets you create and run custom interval cycles with sounds. Follow these steps to get started:
- Add intervals: Use the Add button in the Intervals section to add as many intervals as you need. Set minutes, seconds and a descriptive label for each.
- Add audio: In the Audio Library section, upload an audio file or record one using your microphone. Give each sound a unique name. You can rename or delete sounds later.
- Map sounds to labels: Each interval has a sound selection. Choose the sound to play at the end of that interval. If the label matches an audio name, the sound will be automatically assigned when you change the label.
- Set cycles: Specify how many times the entire sequence of intervals should repeat.
- Save settings: Click Save Settings to store the current configuration (intervals and cycles). These settings load automatically the next time you open the page.
- Save presets: Use the Presets section to save multiple configurations under different names (e.g., “HIT” or “Shower”). You cannot overwrite an existing preset with the Save button; instead load it and click Update to modify.
- Controls: Use Start to begin the timer, Pause to pause, and Stop to reset. You must have at least one interval and one audio sound before starting.
- Offline use: The app registers a service worker so that it can run offline after the first load. Ensure you have saved at least one sound and your settings before going offline.
